Technical Director, Consumer Goods & Retail CDMX
Role Overview
As Tech Director, you own end-to-end technical solutions for Consumer Goods and Retail clients, from shaping the approach on strategic pursuits through technical direction during execution. This is a builder's leadership role: you design architectures, challenge assumptions, review the work, and raise the technical bar of everyone around you, in an organization that treats AI-accelerated engineering as the default, not an experiment.
What you will own
End-to-end solution architecture: Design and direct technical solutions across AI, Data, Cloud, Commerce, and enterprise platforms, ensuring quality, scalability, and security from proposal through delivery.
Technical challenge: Pressure-test estimates, architectures, dependencies, and non-functional requirements. Push back on clients and internal teams when the approach is not sound.
Trusted advisor: Partner with client technology and business leaders to turn ambiguous problems into concrete, buildable solutions with clear trade-offs.
AI-accelerated engineering: Apply agentic and generative AI across the SDLC — design, code, testing, documentation — with human-in-the-loop controls and real productivity outcomes, and stay hands-on enough to prove it works.
Emerging technology adoption: Identify where AI, automation, and new platforms create genuine business capability for clients, and build the POCs that make the case.
Technical mentorship: Grow architects and engineering leads. Set the standard for what good looks like across Studios, clients, and technology partners.
Must have
12+ years in enterprise technology, with proven solution architecture leadership on complex, multi-platform programs.
Real hands-on background in code, architecture, integration, and non-functional design — and the willingness to stay close to the work.
Solution-level fluency across enterprise platforms (Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, ServiceNow) with deeper background in at least one, plus architectural fluency across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
Practical experience with GenAI, LLMs, and agentic AI in engineering workflows.
Fluent Spanish and English.
Nice to have
Consumer Goods, Retail, or adjacent industry experience.
Portuguese.
Consulting or client-facing delivery background.
