Technical Delivery Director - Engineering -Bangalore
The Technical Director is a key position in Globant’s growth strategy, responsible for the execution of all projects within her/his assigned accounts and for defining the engagement strategy from a technical point of view, planning for future capacity in order to meet the client's needs.
The Technical Director is part of what is known as the Client POD, working closely with the Delivery Director (operations) and Client Partner (sales), and reporting to a VP of Technology.
Because of the nature of its responsibilities, the position requires strong interaction with
clients and stakeholders, business facing capabilities and overall account farming/hunting important for the role.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Priority 1
- Presenting Globant’s offering of products and services (studios and practices) to potential stakeholders within the client.
- Understanding the client's business needs and roadmap of future projects and areas of interest, identifying new opportunities for Globant’s product and services.
- Leading the pre-sales process, ensuring the proposals presented to our clients meet the functional and technical requirements as well as any of the client’s restrictions: timeline, budget, geo-dispersion, etc.
- Ensuring client satisfaction, meeting on a regular basis with key business stakeholders, visiting the client’s different locations in North America.
- Helping to identify competitors, their offering, key stakeholders, and wallet share.
- Defining a scalable organizational structure for the technology team that will achieve an economy of scale across multiple countries where Globant has development centers.
- Defining technical guidelines and best practices for the execution of the projects within the account.
- Be hands on at the time to demonstrate a deep understanding of the needs, risks, and the business goal of the programs
- Responsible for the overall performance of the teams, defining metrics, and setting targets for the different PODs (teams).
Required Skills Sets
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven background/past experience in Software Development (not project management)
- 8+ years of experience at a management level, delivering major work streams / client projects.
- Managed key account relationships, with responsibility for delivering client growth and revenue targets
- Experience in leading end to end IT development processes (from consultancy/discovery until Go Live & Maintenance)
- Proven experience on the creation of high level sizing for application developments and definition of roles (Pre-sales)
