ServiceNow Software Designer - Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively managing key stakeholders both internally and externally to the organization
  • Analyze and translate business information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve complex business objectives.
  • Engage with the customer’s Enterprise Architects to position ServiceNow as the digital transformation platform standard, integrated with the customer’s core applications.
  • Establish and manage technical governance.
  • Ensure the instance health by working with the engagement team to reduce technical debt and align to ServiceNow leading practices.
  • Facilitating workshops or meetings to gather requirements, presenting, and validating solutions and test the interpretation of the client’s needs
  • Demonstrating solid insights in designing ServiceNow solutions
  • Demonstrating experience working with workflows in one or more key areas of the ServiceNow platform (e.g. ITSM, CSM, HR, ITOM, SecOps)            
  • Understanding and having experience in driving process optimisation, efficiencies and productivity using automation
  • Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements
  • Act as a mentor to support less experienced colleagues
  • Serves as an active contributor of leading practices, standards, and thought leadership related to the ServiceNow platform.
  • Contribute to the development of opportunities and provide input to grow our business

Required Qualifications:

  • Industry and project experience of 8+ years in ServiceNow
  • Consultancy experience will be an added advantage
  • Strong analytical skills, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage customer and stakeholder expectations
  • Have the drive and determination to learn and continuously share your knowledge with others
  • Experience working in an IT Service Management (ITIL) / Agile / DevOps environment
  • Prior experience of working with international teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaboration mindset both within and outside the immediate team 
  • Passionate about working in a fast-paced global environment
  • Certified ServiceNow System Administrator.
  • Certified CSM, ITSM and ITOM Implementation Specialist.

 

ServiceNow SD Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate emerging ServiceNow technologies and the evolution of current functionality to define roadmaps to meet business needs.
  • Strong expertise in scripting using JavaScript, CSS and AngularJS: Flows, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, Widgets and UI Pages Deep understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions including: Integration Hub, SSO, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, etc.
  • Support Sales and Pre-Sales with client meetings, proposals, SOW etc.
  • Develop and manage the target design, policies and standards, working proactively to maintain a stable, viable architecture and ensure consistency of design across internal and external projects.
  • Provides ownership of customer solutions, working with members of the lead technical team to ensure its feasibility.
  • Managing the ServiceNow solution design for complex projects, ensuring best practice, quality and fit for purpose outcomes.
  • Provide advice on alternative options, risks and the associated impact to the business and technical architecture.
  • Provide first class customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Work autonomously or closely with Business Analysts and Engagement Managers to develop the agreed solutions.
  • Design MID server architecture and configure to support applications such as Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management and Cloud Management.
  • Identify opportunities and provide additional value to our clients and work closely with the engagement and client account manager to progress.
  • Drive the continuous improvements of our technical capability, implementation methodology and service offerings based on client experiences.
  • Mentor other team members in implementation methodology, solution design, ServiceNow configuration and best practice.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Industry and project experience of 10 to 15 yrs years in ServiceNow
  • Proven experience as a key technical resource leading the development of solutions in client environments that have implemented areas such CSM, ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, Integrations etc.
  • Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc) and of working in a SaaS environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical components such as LDAP, VPN, SSL and other such technologies.
  • Knowledge or experience of Agile or SCRUM.
  • Excellent Knowledge of disciplined software release build/deploy processes
  • Excellent Knowledge of integrating with internal and external applications and systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal, written and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) around all key technical decisions during project delivery with outstanding results.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor staff in development and release management relative to the ServiceNow platform to drive quality, value and best practice.
  • Thorough understanding of ITIL processes and best practice approaches.
  • Certified ServiceNow System Administrator.
  • Certified CSM, ITSM and ITOM Implementation Specialist.
