We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Lead to join our team supporting digital transformation within a healthcare organization.  As a BI Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of BI solutions that provide actionable insights to critical stakeholders across the organization. You will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making and solving critical business challenges by leveraging your technical expertise and leadership skills.  

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Skills and Tools

• Data Warehousing and ETL: Design, develop, and manage data warehousing solutions using tools like SQL Server, Oracle, Snowlake, Azure, etc. Proficiency in ETL processes and tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend, ADF, etc.
• Reporting and Visualization: Create and manage reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or Looker. Strong skills in data visualization and storytelling.
• Database Management: Expertise in SQL and database management. Ability to optimize queries for performance and scalability.
• Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources including APIs, flat files, and cloud services.
• Programming Languages: working knowledge of R, Python, or other relevant programming languages for data analysis and BI.
• Agile Methodology: Lead BI development projects using Agile methodologies. Experience with Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile frameworks.
• Offshore Coordination: Coordinate and collaborate with offshore developer teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of BI solutions. Manage time zone differences and foster a cohesive team environment.
• Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous improvement practices within the offshore team to enhance productivity and quality.

Change Management

• Project Management: Lead BI projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. 
• Change Implementation: Collaborate in and support implementing change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of BI solutions.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders to maximize the value of BI tools and solutions.
• Problem-Solving:  Seek to understand the problem or challenge while quickly assessing and distilling how to resolve that problem for the stakeholders; execute to resolution

Leadership and Executive Partnership

• Executive Reporting: Prepare and present executive-level reports and insights to senior leadership. Ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic planning of BI initiatives in alignment with organizational goals.
• Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior BI team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and business users, to understand their data needs and deliver customized BI solutions.
• Communication: Possess excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Requirements Gathering: Conduct thorough requirements gathering sessions to ensure BI solutions align with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in BI development, with at least 1-3 years leading projects or initiatives
• 1-2 years experience working within a healthcare organization
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning, advanced statistical analysis and/or GenAI and how to apply to them to solve problems, a plus
• Experience in a consultative role a plus
