Service Design
We are looking for a Design Strategist/Service Designer to join our team!
As a member of our team you will work on a variety of projects for clients in different industries.
You are both empathic and focused – with an analytical ability to take a complicated problem and transform it into an opportunity for our clients. You are a “systems thinker” that is able to zoom out and look at the big picture, while also finding focus on areas that need to change or improve. You are strategic and able to synthesize disparate inputs into actionable frameworks, strategies and designs that bridge business goals with customer needs.
You are flexible and able to bring different strategic skills depending on project needs including, research, workshop facilitation, journey mapping, to name a few.
Primary Responsibilities:
You will plan and conduct primary, secondary research with oversight from senior strategists.
You will synthesize research and build insights, reframe problems, and provide recommendations that enable our clients to generate and iterate on new solutions
You will plan and co-facilitate workshops internally and externally. These may include design thinking workshops, client/team alignment workshops and others depending on project and client needs.
You will create project deliverables: such as project plans, discussion guides for research, insights reports and presentations among other materials relevant to the client challenge.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in design or related field; a graduate degree is preferred
2 - 4 years of design-related experience
You are an excellent communicator and use storytelling techniques to present your findings and ideas to internal and external audiences.
You are able to identify and recommend different frameworks and methodologies according to project needs
Demonstrated work experience with complex projects where you are able to show your role and impact
Systems approach to design and value creation
Excellence in any one (or combination) of the following skills:
Design research / insight-gathering methodologies
Synthesis / Workshop design / Facilitation
Service Blueprinting and Customer Journey Mapping
Workshop facilitation
Design skills (Visual, UX) and knowledge of design software are a plus
