WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

We are looking for an innovative VP of Technology to guide the delivery of large digital transformation initiatives for our strategic clients onsite in Miami, FL. As VP of Technology, you will oversee the development, testing, and implementation of digital solutions. 

 

You will also be required to evaluate organizational needs and recommend suitable technical solutions while supporting sustainable business development.

To ensure success, a VP of Technology should have an exceptional track record in leading cross-functional technology teams, onsite and offshore, and delivering transformative solutions that generate business impact.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Applying technology expertise in defining the strategy and roadmap of large-scale complex digital programs

  • Working alongside the VP of Delivery and account leadership to recommend technical and delivery approaches to ensure delivery on time and within budget

  • Work alongside senior clients and executive sponsors, providing regular visibility on the status and progress of initiatives

  • Consulting across technology, product, and business operations, providing advisory and contributing specialized knowledge

  • Overseeing the development, testing, and implementation of technical solutions

  • Overseeing production support, including corrective and preventive maintenance

  • Identifying areas where technical solutions would improve business performance

  • Working alongside the sales team to identify and pursue new opportunities for business development

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.

  • 10-15 years of experience working in the relevant area of expertise

  • Demonstrable credentials in delivering large-scale digital programs.

  • Experience working with cross-functional and cross-region multi-cultural teams, directing both nearshore and offshore teams

  • Advanced ability to recommend and lead the delivery of technical solutions for cross-functional programs

  • Exceptional client-management skills, including communication and negotiation

  • Exceptional leadership and mentorship abilities to introduce and implement technical solutions

  • Competency in Project Management and Collaboration tools, like Jira and Asana

  • Excellent recordkeeping, as well as written and verbal communication skills

 

PREFERRED:

 

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)

  • Experience working for a Tech Consulting/Professional Services firm

  • Experience working with or for companies in Travel, Hospitality & Leisure 

  • Experience in digital commerce

 

 

Compensation: 

 

Globant reasonably expects the annual base compensation for this role to be between $170,000 to $240,000. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus of 33.33% of the annual base compensation. Specific offer details are determined by carefully considering a variety of factors, including the candidate’s primary work location, skills, experience, education, market demands, and internal parity.
