We seek a Head of Engineering, who shares our passion for innovation and change. This role is critical to helping our business partners evolve and adapt to consumers' personalized expectations in this new technological era.

What will help you succeed:

• Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing senior engineers and technical leaders (e.g., Tribe Technical Leads) to build organizational capability and successor pipelines.
• Strong ability to act as a trusted technical advisor to product, delivery, and programme leadership, integrating technical strategy with business outcomes.
• Demonstrated skill in building relationships and aligning architecture/standards across diverse cross-enterprise groups, such as Principal Architects, Solution Architects, and Enterprise Architects.
• Track record of defining, maintaining, and governing multi-year platform target-state architectures and roadmaps across multi-team or multi-tribe organizations.
• Experience resolving cross-team technical dependencies, establishing ownership for shared components, and managing systemic platform trade-offs.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain a platform-wide technical debt register, securing dedicated capacity for ongoing platform remediation and technical renewal.
• Hands-on experience defining, versioning, and enforcing organizational engineering standards, code health expectations, and quality gates.
• Experience leading or running formal technical governance processes, including preparing review materials and documenting Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
• Experience defining and monitoring Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for system health, latency, error rates, and reliability regressions.
• Proven track record of monitoring, governing, and optimizing infrastructure consumption costs relative to system throughput and value delivered.

This job is to be filled in London, UK. We require this person to be onsite 5 days a week, with 2 of those days at client site.
