Data Engineer

We seek a Data engineer, Senior-Level who shares our passion for innovation and change. This role is critical to helping our business partners evolve and adapt to consumers' personalized expectations in this new technological era.


What will help you succeed:

 

Functional

  • 5+ years experience in data engineering and\or Software Engineering project delivery 

  • 1+ years leadership capability with a proven track record leading high performance teams 

  • Experience in Data Solutions Architecture 

  • Experience in Technology delivery, waterfall and agile 

  • Experience with distributed programming (e.g. Apache Spark) 

  • An in-depth understanding of common databases and data structures. 

  • Back-end development skills, such as APIs 

  • Experience working with big data cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS) 

  • Python, DBT, Airflow, Terraform, Bash and SQL skills 

  • Experience with Data Modelling (Eg. Star Schema) 

  • Experience working in agile environment 

  • DevOps, Monitoring, Logging and CI/CD 

  • Google Cloud Platform experience (Composer, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Composer, Cloud SQL, Firestore, GCS, BigQuery, etc.) 

  • Experience working with Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data 

  • In-depth understanding of Advanced Spark concepts 

  • Databricks administration 

  • Develop and maintain custom packages, efficiently publish them to package feeds, and design modular systems to ensure scalability and reusability.
