About the role

We are seeking a qualified Cyber Security Specialist. This role is responsible for performing the essential functions listed below and requires the skills and experience described.

Minimum qualifications

• Strong professional experience with the Microsoft security stack, including:

-Microsoft Purview

-Microsoft Intune

-Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE)

-Microsoft Defender for Cloud

• Strong experience specifically with Microsoft 365 Security.
• Hands-on experience implementing and configuring Microsoft security solutions in enterprise environments.
• Experience with security architecture, security assessments, threat detection, incident response, and security controls.
• Ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders in a remote project environment.

Nice to have

• MD-102 – Endpoint Administrator
• SC-401 – Information Security Administrator
• SC-300 – Identity and Access Administrator
• SC-100 – Cybersecurity Architect
• Hands-on implementation experience across the Microsoft security ecosystem.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and email security.

Job responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft 365 security architecture and solutions.
• Lead security initiatives involving Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE), and Microsoft Purview.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate remediation.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, including endpoint security, encryption, access controls, threat detection, and related security technologies.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and potential breaches, providing timely investigation and resolution.
• Support email security and Microsoft Defender for Office 365 initiatives.
• Configure and support Microsoft Defender for Cloud as needed.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, architecture documentation, and technical documentation.
• Ensure Microsoft security solutions align with organizational security requirements and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with technical teams, project stakeholders, and business partners to integrate cybersecurity best practices throughout the project.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations related to Microsoft security architecture and implementation.

Compensation: The anticipated base pay range for this position is $110,000 to $180,000 per year depending on experience, skills, location, and internal equity.
