Java Lead Developer

Right now, we are looking for Java Lead Developer with hands-on experience in Event-Driven Architecture to join our team at Globant!

• Design and implement highly scalable and robust applications in Java using Spring Boot and Event-Driven Architecture principles.

• Lead the architecture and development of microservices using Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming and processing.

• Utilize AWS services, particularly Lambda and ECS, to deploy serverless and containerized applications.

• Oversee the integration of APIs and web services, including SOAP and REST.

• Ensure code quality through unit testing frameworks, specifically JUnit and Mockito.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage source control and CI/CD pipelines via GitHub.

• Drive performance monitoring and tuning using Splunk and other application monitoring tools.

• Implement SQL queries and manage data storage using S3 and relational databases.

   

What will help you succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Java development with strong backend architecture knowledge.

• Proven experience in leading a team or project development, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with cloud-native applications and microservices architecture, particularly within AWS.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
• Proactive and adaptable to changing project requirements and business needs.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and performance
• Advanced English skills
