Mission
The AEM Technical Leader is responsible for leading technical teams delivering Adobe Experience Manager solutions, ensuring high-quality, scalable, secure, and maintainable implementations aligned with organizational and client strategic goals.
This role involves supervising technical execution, mentoring developers, performing architectural and code reviews, and coordinating technical activities to ensure delivery excellence across timelines, governance, and platform best practices.
The Technical Leader also contributes to organizational maturity by supporting cross-team initiatives, strengthening engineering standards, and serving as a key reference for AEM technical leadership evolution.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Stakeholder Coordination
Act as the main technical point of contact between delivery teams, stakeholders, and client counterparts.
Resolve technical dependencies, anticipate blockers, and ensure smooth integration across the digital ecosystem.
Architecture & Technical Decision-Making
Make key architectural decisions balancing trade-offs between performance, cost, complexity, security, and delivery speed.
Define technical approaches aligned with AEM Cloud Service standards and enterprise architecture principles.
Code Quality & Engineering Excellence
Conduct advanced code reviews and enforce best practices such as SOLID principles, clean architecture, automated testing, and performance optimization.
Ensure sustainability, maintainability, and long-term scalability of AEM implementations.
AEM Platform Delivery Oversight
Supervise the technical execution of AEM development teams across components, templates, workflows, integrations, and deployments.
Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and project requirements.
Performance Optimization
Identify and implement improvements in architecture, integrations, and code to optimize platform performance and scalability.
Mentorship & Team Growth
Provide continuous technical mentorship and coaching for developers and junior Technical Leads.
Promote professional growth, leadership maturity, and strong engineering culture.
Security & Compliance
Guarantee that all solutions comply with defined security standards, organizational policies, and industry regulations.
Recommend improvements aligned with ISO/IEC 27001 information security practices.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
Maintain clear and updated technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, component structures, deployment processes, and operational guidelines.
Cross-Project Impact
Collaborate beyond the assigned team, sharing best practices across delivery cells and contributing to organizational technical excellence.
Requirements
Required Knowledge & Experience
Experience: 10+ years in software engineering, including leadership
English Level: B2 or higher
Core Technical Requirements
AEM Sites, Components, Templates, Sling Models
OSGi architecture and modular development
Headless delivery with Content Fragments & GraphQL
CI/CD pipelines and Cloud Manager
Integration with third-party APIs and enterprise systems
Automated testing strategies and performance optimization
Secure coding practices and platform governance enforcement
Good expertise in AEM Infrastructure & Caching
Certifications
The role requires completion of at least two certifications from Adobe Experience Manager Certification program.
