Job Title: AEM Solution Architect (Senior)
Business Unit: Digital Experience Platforms (DXP)
Reports To: DXP Technology Director
Role Level: Senior Architecture Leadership
Mission
Design and build Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions that satisfy both business and technical needs of enterprise clients.
This includes defining the end-to-end technical architecture, selecting the most appropriate Adobe Experience Cloud capabilities, and supervising the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing digital experience platforms.
The AEM Architect ensures alignment with industry best practices, Adobe standards, and organizational quality frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
AEM Architecture Design
Define the architecture of AEM-based platforms, selecting the appropriate technologies, patterns, and Adobe-native capabilities.
Ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance aligned with client strategic objectives.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Work closely with development, operations, UX, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into robust AEM solutions.
Guarantee that technical delivery effectively supports business outcomes.
Implementation Governance
Supervise implementation of AEM solutions across components, templates, workflows, integrations, and deployments.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and Adobe best practices.
Code Reviews & Design Validation
Perform architectural design reviews and code analysis to identify risks early.
Mitigate technical issues before implementation, reducing defects and delivery risk.
Technical Leadership & Enablement
Provide technical guidance and support to developers and Technical Leads.
Foster continuous learning and improve engineering maturity across teams.
Innovation & Technology Evolution
Evaluate new Adobe Experience Cloud features, AEMaaCS innovations, and industry trends.
Identify opportunities for modernization, AI adoption, and platform optimization.
Architecture Documentation
Maintain updated documentation of AEM architecture, delivery processes, governance standards, and reusable frameworks.
Enable long-term maintainability and knowledge transfer.
Project Planning & Delivery Support
Participate in project planning and roadmap reviews to ensure technical alignment.
Integrate architectural constraints into delivery schedules and execution plans.
Technical Risk Management
Identify and manage architectural risks related to scalability, security, availability, and operational stability.
Ensure continuity and resilience of AEM platforms.
Pre-Sales & Solution Estimation
Support sales and client discovery by contributing architecture designs, feasibility assessments, and effort estimations.
Ensure proposed AEM solutions match organizational delivery capabilities.
Reusable Accelerators & Standardization
Design and develop reusable AEM modules, component libraries, and architectural accelerators.
Improve delivery efficiency and consistency across projects.
Team Training & Architecture Maturity
Train teams in advanced AEM development, cloud-native delivery, headless patterns, and enterprise architecture principles.
Elevate the collective technical maturity of the organization.
Requirements
Required Knowledge & Experience
Experience: 11+ years in software engineering
English Level: B2 or higher
Core Technical Requirements
Architecture of scalable digital platforms on AEM Sites & AEMaaCS
Component-driven development (Sling Models, HTL, OSGi)
Headless delivery with Content Fragments + GraphQL
CI/CD pipelines with Cloud Manager
Security compliance (OWASP, ISO 27001, GDPR)
Cloud-native delivery (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, Terraform
Deep expertise in AEM Infrastructure & Caching
Certifications
Minimum of two certifications from the following: AEM Sites Developer Expert, AEM as Cloud Service Migration Expert, AEM Dev/Ops Engineer Expert, AEM Business Practitioner Expert, or AEM Sites Architect Master.
Additional Adobe Experience Cloud certifications are encouraged.
